The selected rules
Victoria’s model rules allow a person who supports the association’s purposes to apply in writing, agree to the rules and sign the application. The committee decides applications and records accepted members. Members under 15 are associate members without voting rights.
Voting eligibility generally requires more than 10 business days of membership and no suspension of membership rights. Electoral registration membership has separate qualification checks.
The model rules provide an annual process for setting any joining fee or subscription. Free membership is the proposed formation decision, rather than an amendment to that process.
